Questions about transcription
How accurate is the transcription?
On clear audio, accuracy is typically 95% or higher. Results depend on recording quality — background noise, overlapping speech, and heavy accents can lower accuracy.
Which audio and video formats can I transcribe?
Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, and FLAC. Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, and WebM. You can upload a video file directly — there's no need to extract the audio first.
How long or large can my file be?
Each file can be up to 2 GB. Processing usually takes under half the length of the recording — roughly 30 minutes for an hour of audio.
What languages are supported?
Over 100 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, and Hindi.
Can I edit and export the transcript?
Yes. Review and edit the text, then export it as plain text (TXT), SRT, or WebVTT for notes, captions, or subtitles.
Is my audio and data kept private?
Uploads and processing are encrypted over HTTPS, you can delete your files at any time, and your data is never used to train models.
Can I translate my transcript into another language?
Yes — transcription and translation are separate steps. Once you have the transcript, use our audio translation or video translation tools to convert it into another language.
