Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you use our services, we may collect the following personal information: email address (for account creation and communication), payment information (processed securely through Stripe), and usage data (to improve our services).
Document Data
We temporarily process uploaded files, extracted text, selected language and model settings, and generated previews or translations. Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 and necessary content may be sent to AI processing providers such as OpenAI or Google, depending on the selected workflow.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide document translation services, process payments securely, communicate with you about your translations, improve our services and user experience, and comply with legal obligations.
Data Security and Protection
Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using industry-standard HTTPS/SSL encryption.
Document Handling
Your uploaded documents are processed securely and can be deleted from our servers at your request immediately after translation completion.
External processing providers
Only data needed to perform the requested translation, transcription, OCR, or image processing is sent to the applicable provider. Provider handling is governed by its terms, data controls, and the configuration used by Doc2Lang; do not upload content that your organization prohibits from third-party processing.
Data Retention
File download and preview access expires after 14 days. Manual deletion controls are available for generated previews and translation results. Account, transaction, security, and operational records may be kept as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by Doc2Lang.
Third-Party Services
AI, transcription, and storage providers
Depending on file type and selected workflow, Doc2Lang uses OpenAI-compatible services, Google Gemini, transcription providers, and Cloudflare R2. The minimum content required for processing or temporary storage is shared with the applicable service.
Stripe
We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Stripe handles all payment information according to their privacy policy and PCI DSS standards.
Analytics
We use PostHog, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity to measure product and website usage. Where consent is required, analytics is controlled by your cookie preferences. Analytics may include identifiers, device and interaction data; file contents are not intentionally sent as analytics event properties.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and associated data, opt out of marketing communications, and request information about how your data is processed.
International Data Transfers
Our services may involve transferring your data to servers located outside your country. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data receives adequate protection.
