What types of PDF files do you support?

We support both text-based PDFs and image-based PDFs such as scanned documents. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is built into our translation workflow, so you can upload scanned contracts, handwritten notes, or graphic-heavy materials directly — no preprocessing required.

What format is the translated file, and what versions do I receive?

Translations are delivered as PDF files, and you get three versions at once, each suited to different needs: • Translated PDF (with background) — Preserves the original layout, images, and background while replacing only the text. Ideal when you want to keep the document looking like the original. • Text-only PDF (no background) — Strips out backgrounds and decorative elements, leaving just the clean translated text. Great for review and content reuse. • Bilingual PDF — Original and translation arranged paragraph by paragraph in alternating order. Perfect for side-by-side comparison, language learning, and proofreading. After translation, you can download any or all versions from the results page.

How accurate is the translation?

We use OpenAI's advanced GPT language models, which deliver significantly better contextual understanding and terminology consistency than traditional machine translation. Even lengthy technical manuals and financial documents come out with natural phrasing and consistent specialized vocabulary.

Is the original layout and formatting preserved?

Yes. Heading background colors, text colors, multi-column tables, image placement, and overall layout are preserved as faithfully as possible. For example, in our IMF financial statement case study, the colored section headers and complex multi-column data tables were reproduced accurately.

Which languages are supported?

We support over 100 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and many more. OCR processing supports the same wide range of languages, so even scanned PDFs can be translated across a broad spectrum.

You retain full ownership and all associated rights to your document throughout the process. We operate under a limited service agreement that grants us only the permissions needed to perform the translation itself — all rights automatically revert to you upon completion.
